It’s quite interesting when Anthony and I translate random thoughts to photographs on print…we always somehow manage to test our couples’ limits.
Richard is a Bar Manager in town and Julia has just started her own Wedding Planning Business. When they approached me back in Summer of 2009, I mentioned that they had to model any “crazy” photoshoot that we had in store for them. The theme is a romantic martini campaign using “glass” and “reflections”. Little did they know that the shoot is done during early hours of Saturday morning when none of us had any sleep…; it was a bit nuts…and we’re happy Richard and Julia bought some RedBulls.
Richard and Julia, you lovebirds are stunning! Thanks for organizing the location and trusting our vision….oh…and Congratulations on surviving the Infused photoshoot. =)
xoxo
Rina + Anton

Jenelle from PinkPolka Wedding Design, is a wonderful friend of mine who graduated with me in the U of A Design Program. Her experiences working in a design studio has “gained invaluable experience”. She is an amazing and talented designer who brings a “sophisticated and classic” style to her clients. Her work is unique and caters to her clients’ different tastes. She truly enjoys bringing out the visual details in the work, looking closely at layers of colour and texture that tell a story for the wedding couple.
Back in October, Anthony and I were humbled to shoot her for new website and Weddingbells Magazine ad. It was great to work with her again to see her brilliant ideas come to life. It was lots of fun and we also got a chance to meet her good friends Jacqueline (model), her cousin Bailey (from Mousy Brown’s), and Crystal (from Bare Esthetics).
Thanks Jenelle for the great experience and the beautiful work that you have put together.
Here are some of our photos that we shoot that day. To see the final ad, please check Weddingbells winter 2010 magazine and from Pink Polka Design’s blog at http://pinkpolkadesign.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2009-10-27T21%3A58%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=7

We are excited to be part of a new association of highly talented photographers. This group is invitation only and was selected from a highly selective list of over 5000 wedding photographers. The selection and invitation was sent to 350 photographers from around the planet. This invitation comes after a very rigorous review process by the Board, which includes some of the best wedding photographers in the world: David Beckstead, Ben Chrisman, Del Sol Photography (Matt Adcock and Sol Tamargo), Glen Johnson, Anna Kuperberg, Crash Taylor, and David Ziser.
We are so honored and humbled to be listed alongside photographers who have also been so inspirational to us.

The gentle morning mist was the perfect backdrop for this passionate couple. Jamie and Jaled have been married for more than 3 years and what better way to celebrate their love than beautiful fall colors.
Jamie and I have been great friends since studying the Design program at the University of Alberta. As I remember before our portfolio critiques in the morning, we always enjoyed chatting while we strolled down HUB Mall to get a coffee at “Cookies by George” (just to take the pressure off). But the biggest thing that I remember was her love for Jaled and her stories of him and that one day she would marry her handsome prince.
Although they have been married for a short time, it seems that they have known each other all of their lives and that they were destined to be together. When Anthony and I met Jaled for the first time, we could easily see why Jamie fell head over heels for this wonderful man.
I will be waiting to hear the call one day… “Rina! I’m pregnant! Photos!”
Your dear friends,
~Rina + Anthony

Recent newlyweds Amanda and Steve contacted us to be part of our “couples take your best shot”. We couldn’t wait for this opportunity. Amanda hadn’t washed her dress just yet, so it was perfect timing for all of us. Anthony and I wanted to shoot the Highlevel tunnel for a while now and since the chartered service happened to be afterhours, most of our brides couldn’t take up that offer.
It was a great adventure for Amanda and Steve to ride the streetcar, since it was both their first time. Steve’s expression over the Highlevel Bridge was pretty hilarious, like a little kid in a candy store. He wanted the doors to be opened so he could see the sunset, as Amanda chilled inside the train watching and made sure he didn’t do anything stupid. :O)
Thank you Amanda and Steve for letting us bring our creative side in the work that we do and we hope that you had a great experience with us as well. It was a pleasure to witness your love for each other in such a short period of time.
Your pals,
~Rina + Anthony

Back in June of this year, we had the pleasure to shoot Christine and Winslow’s engagement session. There were laughs between the lovely couple and we were able to capture these moments that led up to their big wedding day.
It’s no doubt that you two are made for with each other. When we arrived at Delta Hotel before the ceremony started, Christine was already in her beautiful gown, and so were her two sisters, Catherine and Carmen. The sisters bonded with one another as hugs and giggles filled the room.
Meantime, Winslow was catching up with family and friends at the signing table, while waiting anxiously to walk his bride-to-be down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we headed out to downtown for their creatives. The local restaurant manager was thrilled to have us shoot on location while we also kept ourselves sheltered from the chilly October afternoon.
Christine and Winslow, it was a pleasure to shoot your perfect day. Look forward to showing you the rest.

Their beautiful story began 12 years ago filled with love and friendship…
It’s an early morning of October, we arrived at the Westin Hotel where Christina and the girl’s preparations were well underway. The make-up was being applied by the bride herself and her hair was done by her sister, Pam who is a professional makeup artist with Evelyn Charles. Later in the morning, the rest of the bridesmaids and family members joined in for a quick peek at the beautiful and elegant bride-to-be.
On the guy’s side, things were more subtle. Dustin had already walked their dogs and had been anticipating our arrival. Dustin works in the catering industry and was thrilled to share his books and travels of the culinary world while we steeped our morning tea. He is also an avid body builder. As he does his morning workout, I can’t help but notice his resemblance to “Rocky”, which is also his favourite movie.
Both Christina and Dustin are huge fans of NYC culture when it comes to movies, cuisine and lifestyle. They were delighted to shoot with us at venues that reflected their deep passion for NYC. We even made a surprise cameo visit at Sam Abouhassan, who custom made Dustin’s sharp looking suit.
As the evening came around, the ballroom was filled with gorgeous decor, flowers and chocolate. Christina and Dustin’s family and friends were treated to an intimate 5 course dinner and dancing at the Westin Hotel. Toasting, cheering and dancing lasted well into the night before we shuffled them out for a few shots on the beautiful skywalk.
Thank you Christina and Dustin for sharing your wonderful day with us and for trusting our vision.
