We’re back from our 2nd annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas!! Wow!! What a week it’s been for us! So much has happened, we don’t even know where to begin! We made some great friends (even some folks down in Calgary!) and to our surprise even took home a 3rd Place Award and 5 Accolade of Excellence Awards for the International WPPI Print and Album Competition.
This is our first time entering in any photography competition. This year there were over 2900 print entries from over 35 different countries. We entered into the competition with full intention of receiving constructive feedback from world-class photographers in the industry. To tell you the truth, we still feel surreal from this whole experience. =P
Just to put this into perspective, the annual WPPI Competition is like the World Cup of Soccer…The Oscars…The Grammy’s of Photography!!! Never did we expect to receive such honours from our peers in such little time since we started our business less than a year ago.
We’d like to thank all our friends, family, clients and our mentors…Tina Chang, Eleanor Lazare, Louise Asselstine, and Roberto Valenzuela for helping us get this far.

We also received an Accolade of Excellence award for our wedding album in the multi-shooter category.

Oh my goodness, are you serious? Congratulations, how exciting for you. It was very well deserved. You have gotten so far in such a short time, your hard work has paid off.

Hey Congrats Guys! Can’t wait to hear all the “other” stuff that happened haha. Next year there should be a one armed camera self portrait category. Minimum 2 people, bonus points for more. The heavier the camera the higher the points. The bigger the lens the higher the points. Hmm who should I talk to to make this happen?
