Live from Los Cabos, it’s Wednesday Night Live!!! Jaime + Brian’s destination wedding had a talk show theme, including co-stars & host instead of attendants & MC. Having sent out event ticket inspired invitations, their 50-strong studio audience included 20 family members & 30 close friends. We’re thrilled to be sharing their wedding with the readers of The Bridal Detective.
The stage: Barcelo, Los Cabos. Everyone stayed at the resort so Jaime + Brian were able to spend a week (more or less!) with everyone who attended. The wedding wasn’t the only event planned; a girl’s night, boy’s night, family night & out-of-town (most guests came from Edmonton + Calgary, but some flew in from Hong Kong, London, Indonesia and the US) friends night gave them the chance to develop deeper friendships & create memories of a holiday with family & friends as part of their wedding.
Jaime + Brian, we loved exploring Vancouver’s amazing food scene with you guys during your engagement photos, but your wedding topped that! We had tonnes of fun with everyone & are humbled to have been part of your special day. Thank you for treating us & our bellies so well!

The most memorable moment for me was when I was on stage, not when I took off my shirt, but when I was giving my thank you speech. I am not a good public speaker so I was super nervous but the speech turned out fine. I was really happy that both my family, my auntie and uncle were very happy. It was also very touching when Jaime gave her speech on stage. Apparently the onion powder in the air was way so strong and she dropped some tears.– Brian
My first memorable moment was when Brian was reading his vows to me at the ceremony. I was very touched that Brian wrote something so sweet. It also surprised me that Brian got a little teary eyed when I read my vows to him.– Jaime
