    A lifetime of laughter.

Could this be one of the best wedding themes ever?  It’s a statement and aspiration that perfectly embodies who Caroline + Chris are as a couple.  Their beautiful smiles swept us away while we enjoyed Montana’s great outdoors for their engagement photos.  We enjoyed a culinary tour with them, including celebrating Chris’ birthday (shhhh … he told Caroline he was a year older than her when they first met so she’d feel better)  with the Maid of Honor, Melissa Giroux and Bridesmaid Allison Hart and their significant others.  Food is a passion they both share and we enjoyed buffalo burgers at a little corner shop (if you’re traveling through Montana it’s a MUST, but get there before 2pm or your taste buds will never forgive you) and jerky at the shop next door.  We learned that Caroline likes to gamble when it comes to her food – if you bet her to eat something, she will!  That includes a stale peanut found in someone’s cubicle.  On the bright side, she now has $20 towards her wedding costs!

Embodying their love of playing Catchphrase with friends while at Chris’ uncle’s cabin, we went to Flathead lake where Caroline and Chris danced through the fields and picked flowers.  To end the day, fresh cherries as the sun set over the cherry orchard.  Bliss.  Tastebuds concur.

Caroline + Chris, we had such fun with you two.  You’re happiness is infectious and your smiles absolutely light up your surroundings.  We’ll see you in August, maybe we’ll bring the Sing Song edition of Catchphrase for the reception 😉

    Food buddies forever!

  • Joanne + Jeremy :: E-Session “An Alpine Paradise” (Lake Louise, AB)

With pre-warning of barefeet and rolled up jeans, you guys knew there was no escape from getting wet and soiled for your photos as part of IS tradition. =P  Can’t believe we had such great laughs while frolicking in the frigid glacial waters of Lake Louise! You guys are truly rockstars in our books and the crowds of asian tourists you attracted can attest to that as well. =)

Thank you Jeremy and Joanne for believing in us to capture your epic love in the Great Canadian Rockies. Look forward to shoot your wedding in a couple weeks!

-p.s. Jeremy, we had our share of mosquito bites too!! Next time, gotta remember to spray our lower backs. =P

    Your friends,

    ~Anthony + Rina

  • Ian + Mandy :: Couples…Take your Best Shot (Spruce Grove, AB)

As artists, we are always looking for new inspiration for our work. We are paying attention to the media around us….and what better way to refill our creative juices other than sitting in front of the TV! (by now, you must be thinking. . .what a bunch of slackers!! But first, let’s hear us out. . .)

TV series, music videos and movies are the best source for our visual appetite. We love watching movies for their cinematography and lighting effects. Personally, I think “chick flicks” (yes, I am a softie) are the best source of inspiration for wedding photography…though Rina has yet to embrace these love films… :D

This brings us to the movie ‘Twilight’…which for the record had horrendous acting, but is redeemed for its amazing cinematographic qualities. The memorable mossy forest scenes with natural lighting inspired this creative set.

We thank our outstanding models, Ian and Mandy from T.O., for having a blast with us in the woods. (…I think we failed to mention to them that it was also inhabited by a pack of coyotes…but that’s another story :D)

    xoxoxo

  • Maureen + Nick :: Couples…Take your Best Shot (Drumheller, AB)

There’s something sexy about a British accent. The softness and suave almost seems hypnotic to the opposite gender. The one person with this ability who comes to mind is Bond, James Bond. Fortunately, our model Nick from London England, happened to be visiting his significant other in town and we jumped at the opportunity to do a Bond inspired photoshoot: Quantum of Solace at Drumheller.

Thank you Maureen and Nick for braving the scorching 31C heat in the Badlands. We hope you guys had fun despite getting soiled in usual I.S. fashion.

p.s. – Maureen, you never cease to amaze me how you can navigate thru the Hoodoos with 4in” heels. =)

    Safe trip back to UK,

    ~Anthony + Rina
