    A lifetime of laughter.

    Could this be one of the best wedding themes ever?  It’s a statement and aspiration that perfectly embodies who Caroline + Chris are as a couple.  Their beautiful smiles swept us away while we enjoyed Montana’s great outdoors for their engagement photos.  We enjoyed a culinary tour with them, including celebrating Chris’ birthday (shhhh … he told Caroline he was a year older than her when they first met so she’d feel better)  with the Maid of Honor, Melissa Giroux and Bridesmaid Allison Hart and their significant others.  Food is a passion they both share and we enjoyed buffalo burgers at a little corner shop (if you’re traveling through Montana it’s a MUST, but get there before 2pm or your taste buds will never forgive you) and jerky at the shop next door.  We learned that Caroline likes to gamble when it comes to her food – if you bet her to eat something, she will!  That includes a stale peanut found in someone’s cubicle.  On the bright side, she now has $20 towards her wedding costs!

    Embodying their love of playing Catchphrase with friends while at Chris’ uncle’s cabin, we went to Flathead lake where Caroline and Chris danced through the fields and picked flowers.  To end the day, fresh cherries as the sun set over the cherry orchard.  Bliss.  Tastebuds concur.

    Caroline + Chris, we had such fun with you two.  You’re happiness is infectious and your smiles absolutely light up your surroundings.  We’ll see you in August, maybe we’ll bring the Sing Song edition of Catchphrase for the reception 😉

    Food buddies forever!

  • Marvelous Men :: Celebrating the Groom

    Where would our brides be without their grooms? This post honours the men who, while they may not be curling their eyelashes or spending ages on hair and make up, are grooming themselves so their brides are equally awed with how amazing their other half looks. From cufflinks to watches, Grooms have an equal eye for the detail in their wedding attire. This is our tribute to the handsome guys we’ve shot in the past while they were getting ready to marry their loves. Gents – your ladies are lucky in love.

  • Image Focus :: Silhouettes

    Finding inspiration on a gray day where rain clouds are blotting out the sun and threatening showers at any moment is tough! I’ve dug into Infused Studios’ archives and am inspired by the absence of light and playing with the contrasts of shadowy figures set against a lit background. After all, when you take away the dress and the dashing suit, stripped of all those material things, what’s left is the best of a couple – the raw emotion and the actions that speak for themselves.

    Back lit so the waterfall comes alive in droplets of shimmering blue/black, this silhouette casts two lovers in the romantic setting of a rainy day where there is nothing as comforting or fulfilling than curling up together and watching the rain fall outside the window while caught in a warm embrace.

    Set against a domed roof at the Barcelo Maya Resort in Mexico, this silhouette evokes thoughts of Frank Sinatra crooning “Fly me to the Moon” and lovers dancing under the stars lit by nothing more than a full moon cresting over the horizon.

    Glamorous, lost amongst the dazzling lights – what could be more Hollywood A-list than a couple sneaking a kiss when nothing more can be seen than their silhouettes?

  • Carmen + Shaun :: E-session (Edmonton)

    Full Circle…

    Edmonton Wedding Photographers

    To commemorate Carmen + Shaun’s engagement we reflected on their past and brought them back to where their life as a couple began: University of Alberta campus.  While they were studying on campus they met in a student bar and we wanted to circle back to their relationship roots to incorporate a bit of their past into their present.  We also brought along the latest addition to their family: Oscar.  The newest man in Carmen’s life is a cute little pup who clings to his mum as only a devoted puppy can.

    The other love of Shaun’s life is his passion for fast cars.  If Oscar is Carmen’s baby, Shaun’s corvette is his – it is motoring perfection.  Lovers of country music, Big Valley Jamboree is a yearly tradition for them.  We updated the Wild West and replaced a horse with serious horsepower and the cowboy & cowgirl are chic in their straw cowboy hats and the True Religion jeans they purchased on a recent trip to Asia where, being gorgeous & blonde, they were given the celebrity treatment.
