    Memoirs :: Infused Studios’ Visual Journal

    Hey All,

    After 9 action packed days at WPPI, Rina and I decided to chillax by spending some quality time together and walking The Strip. 18 of the world’s largest 25 hotels are located on this street in Las Vegas and it’s certainly changed since the last time my parents brought me here back in the days of Circus Circus.

    Haha being photographers and all, we thought we’d blend in with the tourists and whip out our cameras to snap a few shots of the night scene. Despite the glamour in the photos, a local taxi driver told us that business is dire compared to last year as the global recession is hitting them hard. We noticed it at the McClellan Las Vegas Airport as traffic seems to have died down.  Good for us as we can walk the Strip a lot faster this time around!  =)

    Love my Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens!! (Rina’s already giving me the “L” on her forehead). It’s by far my favourite lens to use in Las Vegas because of the sheer scale of everything. Can’t wait to be back home and share our trip with our family and friends!

    Ciao peeps!

  • S + Tony :: E-session (Edmonton, AB)

    Edmonton Wedding Photographers

    When you love someone, sometimes you have to let them go because absence makes the heart grow fonder.  Tony fell madly in love with Suja while they were both attending Millwoods Christian school.  They knew each other well enough to be each other’s grad dates (even though they graduated a year apart) but never really spoke.  It wasn’t until Tony left for a 4 month trip to Australia in 2003 that Suja also realized that the boy who had taken her to Grad was more than just a date, he was her one.

    Half a decade had passed since Tony had fallen in love and now that Suja realised her feelings they unofficially started their relationship with the trying test of long-distance.  Tony would call, dirt broke and hungry and sounding sad.  Suja, bag of Cheetos in hand, would curl up in bed waiting for his call (Australia is 16 hours ahead of Edmonton!), after all, nothing is more important than cheering up someone you care about when they’re sad.

    Tony + Suja are a perfect balance, while they may not agree on everything, their personalities compliment each other beautifully.  This was apparent even on their first date to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Suja hated it, Tony loved it.  That might have something to do with Tony’s passion for playing the piano and while Suja may love a serenade from her beau, he wasn’t in the orchestra for her to enjoy.

    As a couple, they are romance personified.  From long walks, dinners for two (even if it’s McDonalds!) and listening to love songs regardless of musical genre.  While Tony has an adventurous streak and the little boy in him doesn’t see a problem with dirt, Suja is more careful and organized and a bit of a germaphobe.  What one lacks the other brings to the relationship so while Tony’s out on the field playing sports Suja’s cheering him on from the sidelines.

    Suja + Tony – we can’t wait for your wedding!  You two are beautifully matched and we’re positive the wedding will be organized spontaneity at its finest!

    Your BigMac buddies,

    ~Anton + Rina

  • Caroline + Chris :: E-Session (Flathead Lake, Montana)

    A lifetime of laughter.

    Could this be one of the best wedding themes ever?  It’s a statement and aspiration that perfectly embodies who Caroline + Chris are as a couple.  Their beautiful smiles swept us away while we enjoyed Montana’s great outdoors for their engagement photos.  We enjoyed a culinary tour with them, including celebrating Chris’ birthday (shhhh … he told Caroline he was a year older than her when they first met so she’d feel better)  with the Maid of Honor, Melissa Giroux and Bridesmaid Allison Hart and their significant others.  Food is a passion they both share and we enjoyed buffalo burgers at a little corner shop (if you’re traveling through Montana it’s a MUST, but get there before 2pm or your taste buds will never forgive you) and jerky at the shop next door.  We learned that Caroline likes to gamble when it comes to her food – if you bet her to eat something, she will!  That includes a stale peanut found in someone’s cubicle.  On the bright side, she now has $20 towards her wedding costs!

    Embodying their love of playing Catchphrase with friends while at Chris’ uncle’s cabin, we went to Flathead lake where Caroline and Chris danced through the fields and picked flowers.  To end the day, fresh cherries as the sun set over the cherry orchard.  Bliss.  Tastebuds concur.

    Caroline + Chris, we had such fun with you two.  You’re happiness is infectious and your smiles absolutely light up your surroundings.  We’ll see you in August, maybe we’ll bring the Sing Song edition of Catchphrase for the reception 😉

    Food buddies forever!
