Memoirs :: Infused Studios’ Visual Journal

    A lifetime of laughter.

Could this be one of the best wedding themes ever?  It’s a statement and aspiration that perfectly embodies who Caroline + Chris are as a couple.  Their beautiful smiles swept us away while we enjoyed Montana’s great outdoors for their engagement photos.  We enjoyed a culinary tour with them, including celebrating Chris’ birthday (shhhh … he told Caroline he was a year older than her when they first met so she’d feel better)  with the Maid of Honor, Melissa Giroux and Bridesmaid Allison Hart and their significant others.  Food is a passion they both share and we enjoyed buffalo burgers at a little corner shop (if you’re traveling through Montana it’s a MUST, but get there before 2pm or your taste buds will never forgive you) and jerky at the shop next door.  We learned that Caroline likes to gamble when it comes to her food – if you bet her to eat something, she will!  That includes a stale peanut found in someone’s cubicle.  On the bright side, she now has $20 towards her wedding costs!

Embodying their love of playing Catchphrase with friends while at Chris’ uncle’s cabin, we went to Flathead lake where Caroline and Chris danced through the fields and picked flowers.  To end the day, fresh cherries as the sun set over the cherry orchard.  Bliss.  Tastebuds concur.

Caroline + Chris, we had such fun with you two.  You’re happiness is infectious and your smiles absolutely light up your surroundings.  We’ll see you in August, maybe we’ll bring the Sing Song edition of Catchphrase for the reception 😉

    Food buddies forever!

  • Infused Studios :: Best of 2010 Love Stories (Slideshow)

    Words by Anthony and Rina

THANK YOU to all the couples who shared their love stories with us in 2010!

It was a great 2010 for us and we feel so blessed to have made such great friends with all of our couples. You guys are awesome!  Thank you for letting us be part of your special day. Every wedding was special to our hearts, whether we were shooting in the rain, in the middle of the night, in the cold, or blistering  sun, you guys did it and there are always stories to talk about.  And as our clients say, it isn’t easy to model with us (most hadn’t realized the shoot doubled as a workout).  Hee hee.  Love you all!

To our dear friend Maureen, marketer/writer extraordinaire, you are one awesome chicky! Amazing, amazing. we bow down to you. For those of you readers/fans who don’t know, Maureen got married and moved last year to be with her husband in London, England.  She has been with the IS family from the start for all of our clients’ love stories. Words cannot express how much we miss you back home. The same question that everyone keeps asking her is “when are you coming to visit us?” If more people keep asking, she just might! :O)

At the end of the day, we are very humbled to have this wonderful job and for the friends we’ve made along the way. Thanks to our family and friends who believe in us. We thank all of you who have been our guinea pigs (you know who you are!)

As we kick start our 2011 wedding season, please stay tuned for more adventures across  North America. Can’t wait to share some new creatives and ideas with you folks.

Without further adieu…we have…. drumroll please… our curated collection of The Best of 2010 to share!

    Love. You. Always.

  • Infused Studios :: Top 10 ‘Uh Ohs’ from 2010

    Words by Maureen Young

2010 has come and gone in a flash. We are delighted to have shared so many wonderful memories with our bride and grooms……but the ones that really stuck out are the unscripted moments and the embarrassing bloopers behind the shots. When we look back at these images, we can’t help but laugh at some of our misadventures behind creating the imagery for our couples.

10 :: While shooting at the Muttart, we asked Helena to spin while holding onto her wedding dress. She spun so fast that the wind caught, and her dress flipped up like an umbrella… fortunately no passer-bys witnessed the moment! (Helena + Yun’s Wedding)

9 :: During the shot on top of the Seattle Art Museum monument, bystanders thought Sam was going to throw Karen off the building during our signature “Infused” lift pose.
    (Karen + Sam’s E-session)

8 :: Sam’s groomsman walked into the Burburry store and asked to borrow one of their handbags for a photoshoot. He was going to pay half of the price as a deposit and return it after the shoot, but the manager declined. We just wanted the Burberry shopping bag! (Karen + Sam’s Wedding )

7 :: Anthony watched from the stage while Rina was caught up in the excitement on the dance floor. It was like watching a human pinball machine. She came home with mysterious bruises, on the face, body and legs from the cameras banging up against her. (Meezy + Sam’s Reception)

6 :: After being announced Husband + Wife at the altar, Ryan frolicked down the stairs in cheers and excitement… he was unaware that he almost made Steph trip on her own dress while he was high five-ing the crowd like a rockstar. (Steph + Ryan’s Wedding)

5 :: For the roof top sequence, we made Ken smoke at least a dozen cigarettes to get the right puff of smoke for the shot. Ken is a non-smoker. He also posed as an urban sniper that night with a huge rifle, while we were on constant lookout for law enforcement. (Lisa + Ken, E-Session :: The Pursuit)

4 :: While shooting on top of the state park, more than a dozen men in soiled jumpsuits showed up in an armored truck and surrounded us while they maintained the lawn. Gary told us afterward that they were indeed cons, doing their community service. (Philana + Gary, Trash the Dress)

3 :: Len tells us during their Trash the Dress session that he doesn’t know how to swim. Luckily Cancun has a WalMart and we had already bought flutter-boards before hand.
(Rachelle + Len, Trash the Dress)

2 :: Irene gets a nice surprise when a baby goat jumps on her wedding dress. (Irene + Peter’s Wedding)

1 :: Rina getting taken out by a wave and losing her swimming trunks while trying to save her flash from going under. No worries, nothing revealed as she quickly sank back into the water to pull them back up after the shot was done. (Lan + Troy, Trash the Dress)

What are your top Infused Studios memories of 2010? Love. You. Always.

And, what ‘best of’ would be complete without a Best sideshow? Stay tune for tomorrow!
