Erika + Chris were married in February 2012, but bizarrely the ground was completely free of snow in the days leading up to their wedding! But on the day of, their vintage winter wedding dream was realised with the help nature bringing the snow 🙂 The downside is, it meant the bridal party was outside in the cold & snow for creatives! But Erika, being super prepared, had blankets ready & when it came time to do photos; Rina couldn’t be seen for all the blankets & coats she was holding.
We are thrilled to have shared their wedding with the readers of Style Me Pretty.
They did an awesome job with their DIY stationary, decor & favours for their wedding. But what made it such a beautiful day were the amazing people that celebrated with Erika + Chris. Erika’s brother gave an amazing toast to the bride & her parents gave a heartfelt speech & had a bit of paper with a very sweet note, written by Erika when she was little, next to them while they spoke.
A live band had everyone on the dance floor at the end of the night & Chris’ mom got her groove on, using a broomstick as a microphone!
Erika + Chris – thank you guys for such a wonderful experience! We’re so proud of you guys & your bridal party for braving the cold & snow with us 🙂 Happy 9.5 monthiversary 😉
Your sweet tooth pals,
~Anthony + Rina
P.S. We loved the cake cutting pre-dinner (Erika’s sweet tooth rivals our own!), that chocolate cake was so soft & yummy! Anthony was very happy 🙂
Cold weather huddle – it was soooo cold outside, but hilarious as we all huddled together to stay warm for pictures. It’s something we probably will never forget, especially when one of the groomsmen was like “be careful with the blanket – you’re going to mess up Erika’s hair!.” I found it hilarious how one of the groomsmen just booked it to the car while the rest of us leisurely walked back to the car when we were done taking photos. We were so scared that one of the dogs from the dog park was going to tackle us to the ground, but luckily the owner of the dog kept all under control! – Erika and Chris
